Fully charged shots have the highest critical multiplier of all Arch-guns and the highest critical chance of all weapons in the game. Advantages: Highest base damage of Arch-guns. This weapon deals equal physical and Magnetic damage. odonata is fine because it has utility that scales beyond just numbers for damage/absorb, but the elytron is a complete joke between its low damage and slow-to-hit abilities. The Velocitus is an Arch-gun chargeable gauss rifle that inflicts high damage, equally split between Impact, Puncture, Slash, and Magnetic damage. There's also a very big problem with Archwing ability scaling. Primary fire shoots six continuous beams. This weapon deals primarily Radiation damage. Phantasma Prime was released alongside Revenant Prime and Tatsu Prime. In case it wasn't obvious i really dislike the way they implemented the charge mechanic in archwing. Phantasma Prime is the Primed counterpart of the Phantasma beam shotgun, sporting increased primary Critical Chance and Critical Multiplier, and increased Ammo Maximum. the velocitus has innate punch-through which can be very useful on those missions. its one redeeming factor right now is that it is incredibly useful vs Corpus because not only does it have base magnetic damage, the Corpus maps have many small corridors where enemies are lined up. Veloctius not coming with a forma really hurts it in the leveling process, compounded by bugs, and especially because of its low uncharged damage. Mine is at 3* forma right now and just amazing results with this setup crit and crit damage are very useful mods as a result. Keep in mind that even though the imperator has very low crit/status, it fires SIGNIFICANTLY more shots per second. also, the Imperator does a fairly even spread of impact, slash, puncture (strength in that order, the Corvas deals high impact damage with minor slash and puncture, and the Velocitus does not deal any other damage than Magnetic. Imperator is currently the highest DPS weapon of the three with Velocitus theoretically behind it slightly but, y'know, bugs. best realized on corpus sabotage missionĬorrosive is effective vs almost all corpus Awing enemies with the exception of only being neutral vs 1 type of drone and the rangers Velocitus aim, as of 15.3.3, is still pretty much off. and like you said with the corvas, it's almost always better to just rely on melee and as a result, charge-based weapons have way too weak of an uncharged attack. it's better now that enemies don't instantly boost all around, but it is still a massive delay. Charge mechanics on ranged weapons in archwing are always going to be rough because of the way movement is done in archwing.
